Scheduler, Healthcare

System One has partnered with a specialty care clinic located in the Tulsa area that is in search of a Medical Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Schedule appointments for patients with multiple doctors and coordinate with medical staff
• Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
• Maintain patient records and ensure all required documentation is accurate and up-to-date
• Answer phone calls and emails, and provide information or route inquiries to the appropriate person
• Ensure the reception area is clean and organized at all times
• Assist in processing and filing of medical records
• Coordinate referrals for patients to other healthcare providers as necessary
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality guidelines in handling patient information
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the office manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
