Occupational Therapist – OT
Selectis Health, Tulsa, OK
Under indirect supervision, provides rehabilitative and developmental therapy and support services for residents. Directs resident participation in selected ва tasks to restore, reinforce, and unattain performance; facilitates learning of skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, diminishes or corrects pathology, and promotes and maintains health.
Essential Job FunctionsThis facility expects associates to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other associates and to provide hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore the following list of duties is not all‑inclusive:
- Tests and evaluates residents for therapy and support needs, assessing the availability of in‑clinic or on‑site facilities, equipment, and/or services.
- Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs designed to help residents regain physical or mental functioning or to adjust to their disabilities.
- Treats, educates, and counsels residents and families as appropriate regarding specific physical, mental, and/or developmental disabilities.
- Monitors resident progress throughout treatment(préparacion y mantenga registros y informes, e ensuring adherence to procedural safeguards and confidentiality requirements.
- Participates in training medical and nursing personnel in occupational therapy techniques and objectives.
- Conducts and documents a thorough functional assessment of the resident, utilizing standardized procedures. Assessment of home/vocational and equipment needs.
- Protects residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.
- Supervises C XS(s) per state guidelines.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current license in state of practice.
- Certification and demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization (if applicable).
- Organized and detail‑oriented work performance.
- Good communication skills with excellent self‑discipline and patience.
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
