Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656‑bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, cutting‑edge technology for cancer treatment, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
ResponsibilitiesThe Regional Manager of Medical Staff Services will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of multiple facilities within the assigned region and staff who assist with credentialing activities for physicians and other independent practitioners at Hillcrest Health Systems (HHS). The role serves as a liaison between facility and market leadership, medical staff elected leaders, and credentialing medical office staff. The Regional Manager is a subject‑matter expert in market and regional specifics related to medical staff governance, including clinical services offered, medical staff bylaws, rules & regulations, and related policies.
Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory survey preparedness, actively participating in regulatory activities, coordinating all operational aspects of the assigned region, organizing and conducting programs, and establishing procedures for all medical staff functions. The role assigns workflow and monitors the tracking of medical professionals to ensure proper training, certifications, and experience align with medical staff bylaws, manages the review process of all physician files for completeness and “red flags,” supports medical staff providers and staff in the credentialing process, collaborates with HHS facilities and provider groups, works with outside review organizations and hospital personnel, educates parties regarding credentialing and Medical Staff organization requirements, resolves complex credentialing questions, monitors trends at each facility, contributes to the development of processes and procedures, oversees recruitment, implements regulations, monitors budget, and stays updated on medical trends.
The role also assists in department staffing issues such as annual evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree
- 3 years of experience in medical staff services and credentialing
- 3 years in a medical staff management role
- Completed or in progress to complete CPCS or CPMSM
