Senior Internal Audit Analyst

Job Overview

Senior Internal Audit Analyst plays a key role in strengthening internal controls, managing risk, and ensuring compliance across the health system. This position is a strategic succession hire with a clear pathway to grow into the Audit Manager position within approximately one year.

You will work closely with the current Audit Manager to learn operations, systems, and leadership responsibilities before transitioning into management when she retires.

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Fully Onsite

💰 Salary Range: $75,000 – $112,000

• Assist in developing and executing the annual risk-based audit plan
• Conduct internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas
• Evaluate internal controls and identify control gaps
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations
• Perform follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Use data analytics tools to enhance audit efficiency and monitoring
• Provide oversight of sales tax recovery related to Medicare and Medicaid
• Support and guide junior audit staff (without direct supervision)
• Communicate findings with Directors and senior leadership

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Certifications (Mandatory – One Required):

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
• OR
• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)

Experience:

• Minimum 4+ years of internal audit experience
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards and practices
• Experience in healthcare audit environment preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing is beneficial
• Familiarity with AI and data analytics tools
