System One has partnered with a local bank that is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Loan Specialist to join their team and contribute to their mission of delivering exemplary customer service and support.
Position SummaryThe Loan Specialist is responsible for overseeing the entire loan filing process from start to finish. This involves obtaining crucial financial documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, and providing high-quality administrative support to our Loan Officers. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service to both new and existing loan customers.

- Gather and verify all necessary financial information and pull credit reports to assist in loan processing.
- Research existing loan documentation to facilitate accurate record‑keeping.
- Order appraisals, title work and flood certifications as required.
- Collect any additional information necessary to thoroughly document loan files.
- Document Review and Compliance
- Review all loan documents meticulously to ensure completeness and compliance with bank policies as well as federal and state regulations.
- Analyze entity documents, title works, deeds, HUD statements, mortgages, and other supporting documentation to confirm the accuracy of lien positions.
- Administrative Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to Loan Officers, including composing and preparing customer correspondence, receipts and transmittals.
- Manage and execute loan advances and oversee third‑party payments in a timely manner.
- Coordination and Communication
- Liaise between customers, Loan Officers Finnish and third‑party service providers to ensure a seamless closing process.
- Set realistic closing dates and ensure that all loan documents are properly endorsed.
- Verify the adequacy and accuracy of all final third‑party materials before closing.
- Final Review and Disbursement
- Conduct thorough checks of all loan and closing documents for accuracy before finalizing with loan operations.
- Ensure proper disbursal of loan proceeds in accordance with established protocols.
- Customer Service
- Deliver exemplary customer service by responding promptly and accurately to inquiries from new and existing loan customers.
- Work collaboratively with loan operations and other departments to resolve compliance issues, addressing and clearing any loan documentation exceptions as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, or a related financial service role is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of loan documentation, compliance regulations, and the loan processing cycle.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with customers and colleagues. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software; familiarity with Laser Pro is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
