Indirect Tax – Unclaimed Property and Escheat Services – Senior

Join EY’s globally integrated team of indirect tax professionals and support clients in identifying risks and sustainable planning opportunities. In this role you will utilize your technical knowledge and industry understanding to combine compliance, audit defense and consulting for abandoned and unclaimed property.

• Support client consultations and challenge the unclaimed property and escheat approach for optimal effectiveness.
• Develop strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with internal resources.
• Apply unclaimed property concepts and requirements to deliver accurate and practical recommendations.
• Engage in a highly collaborative culture, listening and sharing information with colleagues.

• Provide timely and responsive services and work products to ensure client satisfaction.
• Stay informed of current technical developments and apply knowledge to client situations.
• Analyze information thoroughly and accurately to prepare quality approaches and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
• Demonstrate understanding of increasingly complex unclaimed property concepts.
• Contribute to achieving team goals.

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related work experience.
• Technical experience related to compliance, audit defense and consulting for abandoned and unclaimed property services.
• Performance and process advisory experience related to unclaimed property compliance.
• Broad exposure to state and local taxation.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant unclaimed property consulting experience within a professional services environment.
• Ability to obtain CPA certification, U.S. Bar membership or professional designation from the IPT.

• Competitive base salary range of $81,700 to $135,000 (U.S. locations) plus performance-based motion.
