This position is responsible for forecasting costs for potential field projects under the guidance of a Senior Estimator, Estimating Supervisor, and/or Regional Estimating Manager.
Essential Functions- Reviews specification information and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Organizes bid components to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Performs takeoffs on blueprints (i.e., circuiting and scaling drawings, counting devices and equipment, etc).
- Consults with clients, vendors, foremen/superintendents, and project managers to discuss and formulate estimates.
- Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Finalizes and follows up on completed bids.
- Attends job site walk throughs with Senior Estimator and/or Estimating Supervisor as necessary.
- Achieves $4,000,000/year in awarded jobs.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and one to two years of electrical estimating experience
Computer Skills- Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Experience in Accubid is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills are required.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 2. 2+ years of electrical estimating experience.
- 3. Experience in Accubid is preferred.
- 4. Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- 5. Local or close enough for a short easy move.
