Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a licensed professional engineer, responsible for major, visible projects that have an impact on our clients business. We’ll need you to develop innovative services that address current and future customer needs. Additionally, this role handles resources and ensures return on investment!

As a subject matter expert in Power Engineering, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in engineering designs and maintenance as well as reliability best practices for electrical equipment across the company. You will provide internal power engineering support for Project Execution and Technical Services. You will interpret industry best practices, standards, and regulatory codes, and provide assessments, strategies, and recommendations for all adoptions.

$56/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. • Deep electrical / power engineering background (power generation, transmission, or heavy industrial electrical systems)
• 20+ years of experience
• Advanced technical documentation experience
• Strong expertise in:
  • Grounding
  • Electrical area classification
  • Power controls & protection
  • Protective relays
  • Electrical operations & maintenance
• Proven ability to answer complex technical questions without escalation
• Experience supporting operations maintenance environments
• Demonstrated experience developing technical documents or standards
• Strong communication skills — able to collaborate with engineers at all levels
• Experience acting as an enterprise‑wide SME rather than a site‑specific engineer
• Prior experience influencing or developing industry or internal engineering standards
