Overview
HDR is seeking a Project Manager – Pipeline/Pump Station to join our growing Dallas, TX office. This role supports the Water Business Group and contributes to public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience through water and wastewater projects.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Manage client relationships with a focus on communicating HDR’s pump station and pipeline credentials.
- Direct and coordinate work of single or multi-discipline teams throughout the project life cycles (from development to close-out).
- Oversee all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects.
- Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently.
- Establish and maintain client relations; participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Lead work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate staffing and workload across the project lifecycle; ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Track financial aspects of projects; coordinate and adjust work effort to meet budget and schedule parameters.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
- Implement QA/QC procedures.
- Occasional travel, including overnight stays, for site visits and client meetings.
- Attend conferences as needed and represent HDR as the subject matter expert.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master's degree
- PMP certification
- Experience and client relationships in North Texas preferred
- 10+ years of design experience on large, complex water and wastewater pumping stations and pipelines
- Large diameter pipeline and pump station experience
- PE License in the State of Texas preferred; if PE is in another state, reciprocity within 6 months expected.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience required (Access experience a plus)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is a must
