Job Description
Support and execute reliability tests on HVAC components, process data to identify issues. Support and maintain reliability metrics and standards for continuous product improvement. Working in an R&D facility in conjunction with Lab testing personnel and collaborating with other engineering departments throughout the life cycle of products.
EssentialJob Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in completion of product qualification test plans, including functional, reliability, and durability testing.
- Conducts production reliability tests and methodologies to anticipate failures.
- Evaluates product performance, history, and failure trends to determine sources of poor component performance.
- Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer, and any governmental agency reliability objectives under the supervision of a senior Reliability Engineer.
- Conducts reliability analysis and works with the Reliability team to ensure the products designed can meet reliability specifications.
- Collaborates with the engineering team and seek opportunities to develop new/improve existing durability test methodology to enhance product development efficiency
- Supports root cause analysis and resolution of issues found during testing and on returned products from the field.
- Reviews code and engineering standards
Degree(s): ABET Accredited Engineering Degree
- Four-year ABET accredited degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree in Applied Sciences.
- 1-2 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
- Communicates effectively in written and spoken form
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrates excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- Works effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
- Office with periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
