Project Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction (Traveling)
McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Project Engineer for the Heavy Civil Construction traveling role. The project engineer provides project planning, scheduling, procurement, and related technical and administrative support to lead individuals on the project. This position works closely with the project manager, superintendent, foremen and crews to support the overall needs of the project.
Your initial project assignment will be located in Ardmore, Oklahoma. All Construction Division offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screen. In accordance with client requirements, security clearance is required and is determined based on background check results.
Responsibilities:
- Performs scheduling of the project.
- Manages revenue, cost, and cash flow.
- Contracts, manages and coordinates sub-contractors and product vendors.
- Participates in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control.
- Oversees project closeout.
- Maintains close contact and good working relationships with client representatives.
- Assists in Operations planning.
- Administers contracts and subcontracts.
- Trains and directs Field Engineers.
- Develops and maintains owner relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is highly desired in Construction Management or Engineering related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in construction (Project Engineer).
- Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong understanding of pre-construction and construction processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Receptive to direction and feedback from site superintendent and project managers.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance in accordance with project and company work hours.
- Strong computer skills with MS Office;
Primavera, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid experience are a plus. - Experience managing engineers is preferred.
Compensation Package:
- Pay Range: $105,000 - $115,000 (DOE)
