OverviewWe are seeking a Level 4 Designer with Oil‑&‑Gas Pipeline mapping design experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in preparing drawings, alignment sheet production, HDD design, and crossing permit drawing development, and be proficient in AutoCAD. Experience with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain pipeline alignment sheets using Civil 3D and Skyline.
- Create base files for FERC filings.
- Design and document HDD crossings, including profile views and construction details.
- Prepare crossing permit drawings in compliance with regulatory and client standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Manage and organize project files using Project Wise.
- Perform quality‑control checks on mapping and design drawings.
- Support field teams with mapping data and updates as needed.
- Associate’s Degree or Certificate in CAD, Drafting, or Design from an accredited vocational school, college, or university (management may consider other education and work experience).
- 15+ years of experience in pipeline mapping and design.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of pipeline engineering workflows and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in HDD design and crossing permit documentation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS systems, Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word.
- Experience with GIS platforms.
- Familiarity with pipeline construction processes.
- Knowledge of environmental and FERC permitting constraints related to pipeline routing.
- Basic understanding of Micro Station, Project Wise, Blue Sky.

USD $43.00 – USD $49.00 / Hr. Employees may be eligible for the company’s annual discretionary bonus program based on performance.
