RINA is currently recruiting for a Melting Plant Laboratory Technician to join its office in ROME within the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Division.

Mission

At RINA Consulting - CSM S.p.A., the Melting & Casting testing laboratory is focused on the manufacturing process of alloy, super-alloy and special steel for R&D or the tuning of manufacturing process for the industry. Manufacturing process is based on high temperature and vacuum technology such as VIM, VIGA, ESR and VAR. The role of our technicians is vital: they will engage with a variety of tasks including the preparation and execution of tests, monitoring the processes and detailed reporting of test data to ensure the highest standards are met and maintained.

Key Accountabilities
  • Receive, label, and measure test materials with precision to ensure data integrity.
  • Prepare the test plant for the manufacturing process.
  • Execute the test according to internal best practice.
  • Communicate progress on testing to supervisors and clients proactively to keep all stakeholders informed throughout the testing process.
  • Maintain testing equipment in optimum condition and assist in the procurement of laboratory supplies to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Uphold safety guidelines at all times, ensuring a clean, orderly, and secure working environment for everyone involved in the laboratory operations.
Education

High School Diploma/GED in Mechanical Studies

Qualifications
  • Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent in mechanical or electrical fields (Perito Tecnico Industriale) to meet educational prerequisites.
  • Basic proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to facilitate communication within an international working environment.
  • Attitude to team working.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, ensuring operational flexibility and coverage as required for the testing processes.
