Position: HSE Manager – (Data Centers)

Position: HSE Manager – Baton Rouge, LA Responsibilities

Provide HSE support and leadership to an EPCM project at a client facility in Baton Rouge, LA. Serve as a business partner with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, and Construction Manager to lead HSE excellence and deliver a project that ensures no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity.

Lead and support incident notification, investigation and reporting processes, facilitate injury management and return‑to‑work processes, review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables, and participate in operational readiness reviews or other forums relevant to project success.

Maintain open communication with the HSE Director and HSE team members to provide technical resources, guidance, ensure alignment, and assure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support project HSE strategic plans and objectives.

Establish working relationships and provide visible support and leadership to all client and stakeholders by providing interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program.

The only travel anticipated with this role is to and from the project site. Future project assignments may require additional travel within the US and potentially North America.

Qualifications
  • HSE certification and/or associate degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated professional experience in a similar role in managing Construction Health and Safety
  • A minimum of 4 years of demonstrated construction experience in managing subcontractors in Health and Safety in Construction
  • Experience with managing and conducting safety training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory compliance, as well as all federal, state and local agency requirements
