Job Summary
Provide leadership and oversight for a team of Quality Assurance Specialists—staff responsible for the core back‑office functions that ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality across advising and enrollment processes. The role ensures that all academic advising and enrollment operations function seamlessly, remain compliant with institutional, state, and federal requirements, and meet established standards for accuracy and student support. Additionally, this position supports strategic initiatives, staff development, hiring and onboarding, and collaborative problem‑solving to promote consistent, high‑quality advising services across the college.
EssentialDuties
- Supervise a team of Quality Assurance Specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance oversight.
- Ensure all rules and regulations surrounding enrollment processes, course program of study reviews, and advising processes function accurately and seamlessly.
- Facilitate the hiring and onboarding of Quality Assurance Specialists, including implementing, maintaining, and coordinating with the Advising onboarding process as needed.
- Foster strong teamwork by conducting regular departmental trainings, facilitating staff development, providing continuous performance feedback, and supporting training and development initiatives for Quality Assurance Specialists.
- Assist in researching and approving enrollment‑related exceptions.
- Assist with researching and resolving student complaints while ensuring adherence to advising standards and quality assurance expectations, collaborating with the direct supervisor when required.
- Collaborate with the Director of Academic Advising on projects, reports, strategy, compliance efforts, and other departmental matters.
- Support and lead compliance‑related projects and initiatives that ensure Academic Advising processes align with institutional, state, and federal requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Studies, Student Personnel Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Human Relations, or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
- 5 years experience in student affairs, enrollment management and/or academic advising.
- Ability to occasionally work on weekends or evenings as needed.
- Require demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Ability to work efficiently and successfully with minimum supervision.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks/deadlines.
- Ability to oversee multiple functions of a large college‑wide program.
- Knowledge of Ellucian Banner.
Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Studies, Student Personnel Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Human Relations, or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
