• Be present and willing to do whatever it takes from 7:30AM to 4:45PM, Monday through Friday
  , including occasional Saturday sessions (7:30–1:00 PM) and 2–3 weeks during the summer
  , to ensure all scholars receive a high-quality music education that supports their holistic development.

• Assist in the development and refinement of the band curriculum
  , ensuring alignment with Oklahoma Fine Arts Standards and KIPP Tulsa’s mission.

• Plan, structure, and deliver daily rehearsals and music lessons that are engaging, rigorous, relevant
  , and aligned with a year-long scope and sequence.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, skill levels, and interests of students across both middle and high school grades.

• In collaboration with Special Education staff, ensure that all IEPs and student learning needs are supported through appropriate accommodations and modifications.

• Foster a classroom and rehearsal environment that is positive, structured, joyful, and conducive to creativity and learning

• Communicate with students and families, including being available during evening hours by phone, to address music-related questions, practice support, and performance preparation.

• Organize and lead school concerts, performances, and musical showcases throughout the school year that highlight student progress and celebrate the arts.

• Assist with the district's marching band program.

• With support from school leadership, use scholar participation data, practice logs, formative assessments (e.g., playing tests, vocal assessments), and performance rubrics to drive planning and instruction.
