Position: Instructional Assistant – Elementary Summer Literacy Academy, K-3rd Grade (2 openings)

Reports to: Elementary Summer Literacy Academy Principals, Director of Student Learning and Literacy

Supervises: None

• Associate degree or 48 hours of completed higher education; BS or BA degree preferred.
• Satisfies all district requirements regarding physical health and citizenship.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills (works well with parents, students, and staff).
• Demonstrates knowledge of reading strategies for elementary students.
• Spanish and/or Zomi speaking abilities preferred.

• Collaborates with teacher regarding instructional plans.
• Assists with classroom lessons and activities.
• Facilitates small groups as designed by teacher.
• Assists with parent communication and attendance.
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Jenks Public Schools Temporary Assignment Contract - June 1 - June 25, 2026;
Monday-Thursday, 8:30am
-12:30pm. Dates subject to change pending Board approval of last day of school.

Currently held JPS position hourly rate.

* Required Summer Program in-service trainings will be conducted for staff prior to the program starting date;
Dates and times- TBD.
