Head of Psychology – St. Francis' College – September 2026

We are?seeking to appoint an excellent Head of Psychology to join St. Francis` College and be responsible for the successful oversight and delivery of the Psychology Curriculum. Working with pupils in the 6th Form you will help them to achieve their individual potential. You will also work as part of a team to help achieve the overall aims of the College.

Set in the midst of Letchworth Garden City, St. Francis' College has been providing a first‑class education for girls for over 85 years, blending traditional values and a modern vision. St. Francis’ College has been recognised for its outstanding academic results, pastoral support and the extensive range of extracurricular activities available for students.

• Oversight and delivery of the Psychology Curriculum.
• Work with pupils in the 6th Form to help them achieve their individual potential.
• Collaborate with the college team to achieve overall aims of the College.

• Experience teaching A Level Psychology, especially with the AQA syllabus.
• Relevant teaching qualifications.

• Willingness to undergo child protection screening, enhanced DBS clearance, identity checks, qualification checks, employment checks, review of any employment gaps, and two satisfactory references.
• Registration with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
