Position SummaryThe Itinerant Hearing-Impaired Teacher will work with students who aredeaf and/or hard of hearing, their teachers and families to ensure that required and related services are provided in their home school.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelors degree in education or related field
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
- Possess or ability to obtain an Oklahoma certification in Special Education and hearing impaired
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the legal requirements of an IEP andthe MEEGS process as outlined in Oklahoma
- Must have a working knowledge of IDEA 2004
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
