This position is responsible for the marketing and recruitment of prospective students to the College of Professional Studies (CPS) and assists in developing strategies to recruit and promote CPS programs to prospective students. It establishes and maintains relationships with key community college contacts, contacts in business and industry and potential college transfer students. The position also assists with designing, scheduling, delivering, staffing, and maintaining programs, events and information surrounding degrees, resources, and opportunities in CPS.
It provides all prospective student’s services, including major and career guidance, as well as information about the transition to OSU and CPS while advising prospective students on engagement opportunities. It also generates and manages leads for business connections for the College of Professional Studies non-credit professional development training opportunities. It assists the Directors of the College of Professional Studies to grow both for-credit and non-credit enrollments in CPS.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- At least one year of related experience in marketing, communications, public relations, higher education recruiting or a closely related field.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work professionally and possess a positive attitude; exceptional written and oral communication skills; work effectively with students, families, faculty and staff; articulate accurate and timely information to prospective students and their families; create professional relationships with internal and external audiences; develop/produce professional recruitment displays and printed marketing materials that are appealing to prospective students; and demonstrate creativity, initiative, teamwork, and the desire to contribute positively to the success of the college.
