Position: T3 (Tech Hubs Talent Training) Student Success Coach

T3 (Tech Hubs Talent Training) Student Success Coach

Apply for this role with the Tulsa Community Foundation as part of the Tulsa Higher Education Consortium. The Student Success Coach provides comprehensive support services to students in technology, engineering, and applied science degree programs across the Consortium’s member institutions.

Job Summary

The T3 Student Success Coach has a high impact on student success through academic guidance, career development, and barrier resolution to ensure student success and retention in these programs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide one‑on‑one coaching and support to assigned T3 students
  • Develop and implement individualized success plans for students
  • Monitor student academic progress and provide early intervention when needed
  • Facilitate career exploration and planning activities
  • Conduct regular check‑ins with students to assess needs and progress
  • Connect students with academic and personal support resources
  • Deliver workshops on study skills, time management, and academic success
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
  • Collaborate with institutional partners to coordinate support services
  • Support industry connection initiatives and professional development activities
  • Participate in program assessment and improvement efforts
  • Participate in regular coordination meetings with the Campus Tulsa team to align programs, share updates, and identify opportunities for collaboration
  • Promote Tulsa‑based internship and work‑based learning opportunities on the Consortium campuses
  • Support and co‑host student‑facing events, employer engagement activities, and career exploration opportunities in partnership with Campus Tulsa
  • Serve as an on‑campus connector for the Consortium and Campus Tulsa programs, ensuring students, faculty, and staff are aware of available resources and opportunities
  • Track employer, internship, and student leads to support coordinated outreach and follow‑up
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in student support services, academic advising, or related field
  • Understanding of challenges and opportunities in technology, engineering, and applied science education
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Demonstrated experience in case management or student support
  • Proficiency in data tracking and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of student development theory and best practices
  • Experience working with underrepresented students in higher education
  • Familiarity with technology, engineering, and applied science career pathways and industry requirements
  • Demonstrated success in student retention initiatives
  • Experience with academic support programming
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Education, Technology, Engineering, or Applied Sciences
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience in higher education or student support services
Physical and Logistics Requirements
  • Position requires sitting or standing and working with a computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to provide individual transportation to local events
  • Some travel required, occasional overnight travel
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Hours and Location
  • This position is primarily 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a one‑hour lunch break
  • Attendance of occasional evening community events may be required
  • This position includes a mix of virtual and in‑person work settings due to regular site and campus visits, in‑person, hybrid, and virtual meetings
