• Master’s Degree from an accredited university required
• Three (3) years’ experience in program administration and supervision of professional personnel
• Two (2) years’ experience in a special education leadership role
• Two (2) years’ experience leading diverse work teams and conducting program evaluation research
• Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education
• Extensive knowledge of student referral, evaluation, and identification processes
• Experience working with children and youth in a special education setting; urban or multicultural education experience preferred
• Proficiency in theories and principles of learning and evaluation; knowledge of special education laws and principles
• Ability to resolve logistical and operational problems related to special education service delivery
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws
• Understanding of special education programs
• Familiarity with the district’s mission, goals, programs, facilities, and personnel
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office Suites
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
