The Specially Designed Instruction Mentor will serve as a guide and resource for educators to effectively implement specially designed instruction across the district. This role emphasizes coaching, supporting, and mentoring teachers in the use of evidence-based strategies and curriculum to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The Specially Designed Instruction Mentor works collaboratively with school teams and district leadership to ensure compliance, promote instructional fidelity, and enhance student achievement.
Minimum Qualifications Education- Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field required
- Three (3) years of experience in special education, including implementation of specially designed instruction
- Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing professional development
- Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education
- Familiarity with federal and state special education laws and regulations
- In-depth knowledge of specially designed instruction and evidence-based practices for students with disabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Proficient in technology tools for education and data management
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
