Senior Architectural Technologist
The Senior Architectural Technologist is responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings and technical documentation for residential and commercial buildings in accordance with specifications provided by the Design Team and Development Team. The role supports projects from conceptual design through design development, planning submissions, and construction documentation, and provides ongoing support during construction and project administration.
KeyDuties & Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to
- Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site conditions, and technical documents to determine their impact on architectural designs
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings for residential and commercial construction projects
- Design and develop architectural documentation from conceptual design through design development and construction documentation stages
- Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, including visiting job sites to take measurements as required
- Support planning submissions, including knowledge of the Planning submission process and OPS requirements
- Assist with feasibility studies for potential real estate developments
- Conduct site inspections to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with approved plans and specifications
Assist the Development Manager and/or Architect in preparing design bid documentation and construction proposals - Coordinate with Structural and MEP consultants to ensure accurate and coordinated graphical representation of building plans
- Assist the Development Team with cost estimates, project timelines, and preparation of reports for Directors
- Manage project documentation, drawing registers, and file control
- Assist the Project Manager with design and construction administration tasks
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in architectural drafting
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative
- Required experience using AutoCAD and Revit Architecture
- Experience using Sketch Up is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Salary Range: KYD $66,000 – $79,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience
- Attractive bonus scheme

- May be required to attend site visits and inspections as part of normal duties
- Must be able to meet project deadlines and work collaboratively with internal teams and external consultants
