Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Project Manager to join our thriving construction team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in managing design consultants and overseeing a diverse range of construction projects. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry and be adept at managing all aspects of design, from scope delineation to cost and schedule updates.

This position will involve working closely with construction directors and ensuring that tenant expectations align with project deliverables.

As a Permanent Design Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing design consultants
2. Leading scope delineation and scoping/de-scoping efforts to ensure project objectives are met.
3. Aligning tenant expectations with project deliverables, ensuring client satisfaction at all stages.
4. Staying engaged through the construction process alongside construction directors, ensuring smooth project execution.
5. Supporting cost and schedule updates with the team, ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule.
6. Overseeing core & shell, build-to-suit, and some turnkey projects, with a particular focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components.
7. Performing construction administration tasks, ensuring all project aspects are coordinated and executed effectively.
8. Reviewing and approving construction documents, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Design Project Manager position will have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of construction administration and the ability to review and approve construction documents.
3. Experience overseeing core & shell, build-to-suit, and turnkey projects, with a particular focus on MEP components.
4. Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to lead scope delineation and scoping/de-scoping efforts.
5. The ability to align tenant expectations with project deliverables.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to stay engaged with construction directors and the team throughout the construction process.
7. A proven track record of supporting cost and schedule updates, ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule.
