Job Description Summary

As a Data Standards Specialist you will be responsible for setting up all new Hardgoods materials correctly and timely in SAP. You will also implement and maintain Information Records, Source Lists, and vendor pricing in SAP.

  • Obtain, analyze, and resolve pricing issues including discrepancies and confirmations different from our system, and material setup issues such as invalid part numbers and discontinued items, within department-established timelines.
  • Gather information from outside sources and identify the necessary Material Master changes within SAP to align the vendor’s standards with item numbers and units of measure.
  • Coordinate, review, and input changes suggested by the Buying Center Management and Product Management, including Materials, Pricing, Info Records, and Source Lists.
  • Plan pricing updates for maintained vendors, including Global, Sales Org, and Plant level pricing.
  • Meet goals and objectives set by management and ensure departmental standards are consistently met.
  • Follow all policies as defined in the Company policy manual.
  • Work with all co-workers and internal customers in a professional manner at all times.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One to three years minimum experience in Purchasing/Inventory Control/Pricing Administration/Data Management.
  • High proficiency in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in a related field is a plus.
  • SAP S/4 Experience preferred.
