What role you will play in our team

We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals to join Exxon Mobil’s Global Marine team as Marine Support Analysts. Our Global Marine division manages scheduling and voyage optimization across our worldwide supply chain and trading marine movements.
As part of the Marine Support Analyst (MSA) team, you will deliver high-touch (“white glove”) support to Barges, Finished Products, and Crude teams across the EU region. This role involves systemic troubleshooting, reporting, and training, while working closely with schedulers, optimizers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth marine operations. You will also contribute to transformation initiatives, process standardization, and knowledge management in collaboration with Process Advisors and Power Users.

Lastly, you will work providing analytical support analyzing marine data and identifying trends and opportunities

Roles and Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Provide systemic support for cargo nominations, voyage operations in SAP and Veson.
  • Assist schedulers post-operations corrections (e.g., material/destination changes, deal and nomination quantity issues, counter party updates, and other systemic adjustments).
  • Support additional activities such as bunker adjustments and resolving third-party statement issues across regions.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly reconciliation reports.
  • Analyze tickets to identify common error types and recommend systemic improvements.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting support to schedulers and optimizers.
  • Develop analytics, look into trends, and create insights / stories support the global organization.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Standardize intake requests through a single-channel solution.
  • Drive transformation initiatives using process mining and stakeholder collaboration (e.g., reducing aged nominations).
  • Develop and maintain a centralized knowledge repository for refresher training.
  • Work closely with schedulers, optimizers, traders, and trade support analysts to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Partner with Process Advisors and Power Users to enhance governance and systemic efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in a relevant discipline (commercial marine shipping, business, finance, or logistics).
  • Commercial experience; background in shipping post-fixture work is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, evaluation, and interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Knowledge of marine terminology, operations, and the shipping business.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and able to manage a large workload while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with tools and systems like SAP, Power
