Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Clerk to support purchasing operations for steel construction materials and related supplies. The Purchasing Clerk plays a vital role in sourcing materials negotiating pricing and ensuring timely delivery to support ongoing projects and business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase steel construction materials and related supplies
  • Negotiate pricing terms and delivery schedules with approved vendors
  • Maintain accurate purchase records while ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross‑functional teams to forecast material needs
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment schedules
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities
  • Resolve issues involving orders, deliveries or supplier performance
Qualifications
  • Experience in purchasing or procurement preferably in steel or construction industries
  • Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with supply‑chain processes and vendor management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities
