A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Buyer. Position type:
Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 Months

Location:

Nashville, TN 37214 (Onsite).

As a Buyer, you will:

  • Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Serve as liaison between suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Source pricing and delivery options for requested supplies.
  • Review requisitions for accuracy in specifications, quantity, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with state guidelines and organizational practices for quotes and bids.
  • Convert requisitions into purchase orders using Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and ensure delivery timelines are met.
  • Verify pricing, shipping terms, and delivery dates prior to order confirmation.
  • Provide ERP system support and troubleshoot user issues.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, returns, and accounts payable.
  • Manage document routing through Docu Sign (waivers, purchase orders).
  • Solicit and analyze bids/quotations for purchases between $10K and $50K.
  • Train employees on ERP navigation and functionality.
  • Collaborate with IT to resolve system-related issues.
  • Address supplier invoicing issues and coordinate with end-users for replacements, cancellations, and warranty concerns.
  • Maintain Master Project and Waiver files.

The ideal candidate will have strong procurement expertise, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years in purchasing or procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 2–4 years in bidding, contracting experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and materials control.
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and materials control.
  • Experience in bidding and contracting processes.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to train employees on ERP navigation and functionality.
