Proposal Manager

Strategic Business Consulting Services (SBCS) has partnered with a growing manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled and motivated Proposal Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire proposal process from start to finish, working closely with our sales, marketing, and consulting teams to develop winning proposals for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the proposal development process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating all proposal activities

- Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs and develop strategies for winning proposals

- Collaborate with subject matter experts and consultants to develop technical and solution-oriented content for proposals

- Create and maintain proposal templates, boilerplate content, and other resources for efficient and effective proposal development

- Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with client requirements

- Coordinate with internal and external sourcesto create visually appealing and professional proposal documents

- Ensure timely submission of proposals and manage all follow-up activities as needed

- Continuously improve the proposal process and materials to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our proposals

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in proposal development to provide innovative and competitive proposals

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or a combination of education and directly related experience

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, preferably in a engineering services firm

- Previous experience with preparation of budgets, schedules, and cost estimates is required

- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize the work product to meet deadlines is required

- Effective and professional communications skills both written and verbal for interface with Clients and co-workers is required

- Advanced skills in Microsoft WINDOWS, OUTLOOK, WORD, EXCEL, PROJECT, and ACCESS

- Previous experience working within an ERP/MRP environment is strongly preferred

- ISO 9001:2015 training is a plus
