Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accounting Consultant (Year-End Close & Process Improvement)

Location: Onsite – Tulsa, OK

We are seeking a hands‑on accounting professional to step into a high‑impact role during year‑end close and carry continuity into Q1. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑moving environments, enjoys problem‑solving through messy books, and brings both structure and calm to chaotic close cycles. You will operate as the primary accounting resource throughout this engagement, collaborating closely with accounting leadership to clean, standardize, and stabilize month‑end and year‑end processes.

• Full takeover of accounting execution for year‑end close
• Journal entry review, posting, and adjustments
• Balance sheet reconciliations and clean‑up of historical reconciling items
• Financial statement preparation support and review
• Audit readiness, documentation preparation, and coordination as needed
• Development of clear desk procedures to ensure smooth transitions post‑engagement
• Process improvement recommendations where structure and visibility are lacking
• Untangling past inconsistencies within the books with curiosity and persistence

• Senior Associate or Manager‑level accounting experience (public, industry, or blend)
• Strong technical skill in close cycles, reconciliations, and JE review
• Capable of building process where none exists, particularly in YE and ME environments
• Enjoys investigative accounting work — can trace, verify, organize, and fix
• Able to operate independently with accountability and urgency

This engagement requires onsite presence hybrid in Tulsa.

• Critical onsite windows: last week of each month and the 3rd–4th business day of the following month
• Must be available to work the week of December 29

$80‑$90 per hour
