Join Vanderbilt Health as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Acute Care at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, TN. This is a flexible, part-time/PRN role in a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation setting. Vanderbilt Health is committed to an environment where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Responsible for administering and directing appropriate Physical Therapy interventions as prescribed by a qualified physician and directed by a licensed Physical Therapist. Maintain effective communication and accurate documentation. Demonstrate professional behavior in accordance with the APTA Code of Ethics and Vanderbilt Health values.

Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital – Tullahoma, TN

8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), flexible coverage for PTO, schedule provided at least 2 weeks in advance. Weekend staffing needs are higher.

• Administer and direct appropriate physical therapy interventions as prescribed by a physician and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Deliver high-quality care to patients with acute medical conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Uphold professional conduct aligned with the APTA Code of Ethics and Vanderbilt Health’s values.

• Active Tennessee PTA license required.
• Experience in acute care or hospital-based physical therapy preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and weekend staffing needs.
