Mechanical Process Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team. This role supports cutting‑edge projects across the automotive industry, as well as Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of Energy (DOE) initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in mechanical process design and systems design, contributing to innovative solutions that advance technology and performance in mission‑critical applications.

• Develop, optimize, and validate mechanical processes for R&D and production environments.
• Support design, integration, and testing of mechanical systems for diverse applications.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and process specifications.
• Analyze features or work and apply sound engineering principles and practices.
• Develop technical reports and presentations for project management and clients.
• Designing:
  • High pressure cryogenic and pneumatic piping systems.
  • High temperature systems, including steam systems.
  • Refrigeration, vacuum, and fuel systems.
  • Specialty HVAC systems and components.
• Create engineering calculations and specifications and oversee the creation of engineering drawings.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to project requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical process design or systems engineering.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings on complex R&D projects.
• Experience with aerospace systems, defense‑related engineering, or energy sector projects.
• Familiarity with AFT Impulse/Fathom, AutoPIPE, simulation software, or Ceasar 2.
• Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics.
• Problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
