Seeking an entry-level Controls Engineer to support projects ranging from small studies to multi-million dollar turn-key supply. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented, organized, communicate effectively across all organizational levels, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This role involves detailing electrical specifications for part/equipment design and programming PLCs. This is an onsite role in Tullahoma, TN.

• Detail electrical specifications for selection and design of parts and equipment.

• Program and configure PLCs, focusing on Allen Bradley PLCs.

• Engage in HMI programming using tools like Factory Talk.

• Participate in the design of control systems and automation solutions.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechatronics Engineering.

• Experience or internship in Controls/Electrical Engineering.

• Proficiency in programming PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley.

• Familiarity with HMI programming, preferably Factory Talk.

• Understanding of instrumentation controls and equipment specification.

• Interest in electronics, instrumentation, and control systems.

• Experience with data acquisition systems, VFDs, and motion control systems.

• Knowledge of communication networks and PID control.

• Willingness to travel up to customer sites when needed.

This position requires on-site work with the benefit of half days on Fridays. Expect to travel to customer sites for meetings, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Work involves control devices such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial instrumentation. The standard work week is Monday to Friday, with little to no overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tullahoma, TN.

The pay range for this position is $37.00 – $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tullahoma,TN.
