During a shift, you will be assigned to any of our departments, depending on our customer and/or business needs. At the direction of store management, you may work in any or all the following areas:
- Front end of the store: selling merchandise and assisting customers through the checkout process.
- Sales floor:
Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment & Supply. - Replenishing freight and rotating product in any department.
You may also assist during special store events, such as Vendor Fairs, sales floor resets, and inventory processes.

Starting rate: $21.10/hr.
Schedule: Must have open availability including weekends.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Front End- Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF’STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store’s customers.
- Perform sales and cash functions in the POS accurately and efficiently.
- Perform cart-to-cart transfer of all products at checkout, including visual inspection.
- Perform receipt checking, verifying cart content versus purchases as customers leave the store.
- Perform store opening and/or closing functions at the front end.
- Focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage.
- Assist in receiving inventory shipments and maintain and stock shelves neatly.
- Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled and rotated using FIFO.
- Replenish sales floor daily from top stock.
- Use computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel as needed.
- Assist with price changes as directed and participate in inventory and cycle count processes.
- Maintain a safe environment for staff and customers by following safety policies.
- Ensure cleanliness of sales floor, front end, restrooms, parking lot, and store entry area.
- Gather carts from parking lot and cart corrals and bring them back to designated area.
- Internal:
Interact with employees at all levels throughout the company. - External:
Interact with customers and other service and product providers.
- Retail store setting, open to public; exposure to weather.
- Moderate noise level; work performed on level surfaces, may use ladder or elevated surface as needed.
- Temperature ranges from
-10 to 85 degrees.
- Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience.
- Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service and adapt to assist other employees.
- Fast, efficient, professional service for each customer.
- Good common sense, logical thinking, basic math aptitude.
- Motivated, self-driven, able to multitask, prioritize, work independently or in a team.
- Flexible hourly schedule including holidays and weekends.
- Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, proficiency with general office equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
