Job Summary

The Executive Chef III is responsible for leading all culinary operations within a high‑profile, elevated café environment. This role oversees day‑to‑day kitchen activities, ensures an exceptional dining experience, and directs the preparation of high‑quality meals in alignment with corporate programs, standards, and client expectations.

This position is ideal for a chef who is creative, experienced in high‑volume production, and passionate about leading strong culinary teams in a dynamic corporate dining environment.

Key Responsibilities Culinary Leadership & Operations
  • Leads all kitchen operations, including breakfast and lunch services.
  • Plans and executes regular and modified menus according to established culinary and nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintains high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency in an elevated café space.
Team Management
  • Trains and develops kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food preparation, equipment handling, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coaches staff to maintain brand and client culinary standards.
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations.
  • Oversees kitchen sanitation procedures and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and preparation areas.
  • Upholds Serv Safe standards.
Financial & Administrative Management
  • Manages food and labor costs to meet established financial targets.
  • Oversees inventory management, ordering, vendor communication, and cost control strategies.
  • Ensures product availability while maintaining budget guidelines.
Client Engagement
  • Regularly interacts with VP-level client stakeholders and leadership.
  • Supports a high-profile account with expectations for professionalism, responsiveness, and partnership.
Other Duties
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned to support overall account success.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • A.S. degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, preferably in high-volume or complex food service operations.
  • Strong culinary background with experience managing production, quality, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Extensive catering experience is a plus.
Technical & Leadership Skills
  • Experience supervising culinary staff.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and motivate teams.
  • Skilled in inventory management, ordering, vendor communications, and meeting food cost targets.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet applications.
  • Serv Safe certification highly desirable.
