Behavioral Health and Habilitation Administration is seeking a highly motivated LPN. King County employees receive a 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use. Opportunities performed on site at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
The shift for this position is:
Night shift 22:00 – 06:30 Tuesday – Saturday with Sunday and Monday OFF.
- Administer medications and provide treatments
- Observe, report, and document changes in patients' condition
- Directly assist patients; safely, physically, and therapeutically intervene with patients exhibiting high‑risk behaviors
- Pursue and contain an escape risk
- Participate in containment of aggressive patients during Code Gray response and under the direction of the Charge Nurse
- Apply restraints to patients determined to be a danger to self or others under the guidance of the RN
- Educate patients in adaptive living skills
- Transport patient to appointments/classes on campus or off‑campus grounds
- Proven ability to discern and apply practical nursing principles and concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform and interpret basic physical and treatment techniques
- Detail‑oriented reporting and ability to relay clear, accurate information
Qualification:
- CPR certified
LPNs with a current Washington State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
