Lathe Machinist
We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team in a dynamic aerospace machine workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various machines, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring the quality of produced parts.
Responsibilities- Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.
- Make recommendations for improvements in work methods.
- Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.
- Complete and maintain required documentation.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously, including Okumas, Multi Spindles, and Manual machines.
- Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances and math skills.
- Ability to read machining CNC programs and understand common “G” and “M” codes.
- Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.
- Understanding of basic tabletop gages — Micrometers, Calipers, bore micrometers.
Skills & Qualifications
- A few years of on-the-job training or machine shop experience.
- Experience with mill and lathe operations.
- Swiss lathe experience with more than 5 years on the machine.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Problem-solving and analysis capabilities.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is an aerospace machine workshop operating during weekday nights and weekend nights. You will work with advanced technologies like Okumas, Multi Spindles, and manual machines, in a setting that prioritizes safety and efficiency.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, WA.
Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 – $35.00/hr.
