Job Title:
Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating various machines to produce quality products while ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines, including the use of PPE and proper equipment interaction.

  • Perform basic operation of equipment to produce products that meet quality standards.

  • Set up and operate forming, deburring, and heading machines to create sleeves or other products.

  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments; stop machines when problems occur.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation by performing housekeeping tasks and basic machine upkeep.

  • Perform additional tasks such as lubing, bluecoat, gritblast, sleeve washing, or packaging as needed.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.

  • Math skills to solve problems.

  • At least 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Knowledge of shop practices and procedures, ability to read blueprints, and ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with bellcoat/thermal epoxy application.

  • Entry-level machine operation experience.

  • General production and inspection skills.

Work Environment

Work in a large aerospace machine shop, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The position operates on a swing shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with potential training on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. A hairless face is required for proper respirator fit.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $22.00/hr.
