OPERATIONS MANAGER - Interurban Suites Hotel A Dazzler Select by Wyndham Tukwila, WA
Interurban Suites Hotel, an 85-room extended stay Dazzler Select by Wyndham property in Tukwila, Washington, is seeking a hands‑on, experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Position Overview This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives on being actively involved in day‑to‑day operations. The Operations Manager will work alongside staff across all departments—front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services—to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of services while maintaining the highest standards for our extended‑stay guests.
This key leadership position reports directly to the General Manager and requires a roll‑up‑your‑sleeves approach to hotel management.
- Actively participate in daily operations across all departments, providing hands‑on leadership and support
- Supervise, schedule, and work alongside staff to maintain exceptional service standards for extended stay guests
- Address the unique needs of long‑term guests, building relationships and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay
- Manage operating expenses and monitor budget performance in collaboration with the General Manager
- Handle guest concerns and complaints personally, ensuring outstanding satisfaction and resolution
- Recruit, train, and mentor employees while fostering a team‑oriented, hands‑on management culture
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD), being present on the floor and readily accessible to staff and guests
- Monitor housekeeping and maintenance standards personally to ensure extended stay rooms meet cleanliness and functionality requirements
- Ensure compliance with Wyndham brand standards and operational procedures through active involvement
- Wyndham hotel experience strongly preferred - familiarity with Wyndham brand standards, systems, and operational procedures
- An extended stay hotel experience is highly valued, understanding of the unique operational requirements and guest service needs of long‑term stays
- Wellness hospitality experience preferred - background in wellness‑focused hotels, spas, or resorts
- 5‑7 years of progressive hotel operations experience with at least 3 years in a hands‑on supervisory or management role
- Proven track record of active, floor‑level leadership rather than office‑based management
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively alongside team members at all levels
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and willingness to tackle operational challenges directly
- Proficiency in hotel property management systems and understanding of extended stay operations
- Guest‑first mindset with exceptional customer service orientation and relationship‑building skills
