The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer–Test & Verification (Associate or Experienced) to support our KC-46 team located in Tukwila, Washington. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.
In this role, the individual will be part of the Software Test team conducting software/hardware integration testing and formal qualification test (FQT) of Aerial Refueling and Mission System Software with a focus on leadership, quality, process improvement, tool improvement and test automation.
We are seeking an individual passionate about aerospace and excited to work in a multi‑disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of software for existing and emerging government and international programs.
Position Responsibilities- Design, develop, and complete test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.
- Partner with stakeholders to review and identify software requirements, test objectives, test strategies, and testability.
- Design test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements and specifications.
- Set up and configure test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.
- Execute test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes.
- Provide test results and feedback on software design and functionality to resolve defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Create, document, and maintain test plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and data in accordance with data privacy and security protocols and standards.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
- Perform software project management functions across test and verification activities involving multifunctional teams.
- 5 years of direct experience designing and developing software test plans, test cases and test procedures.
- 5 years of direct experience executing software test procedures and documenting results.
- 5 years of experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java or Ada.
- 5 years of experience with Linux based operating systems, command line tools and scripting languages.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

Baseline pay range for Associate Level: $90,950 - $123,050. Summary pay range for Experienced Level: $112,200 - $151,800. Additional benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. - Relocation:
