The P‑8 Augmented Fleet Support Team seeks a Senior Mission Systems Engineer focused on avionics and electrical systems.

• Provide expert support for the troubleshooting and resolution of mission systems issues for the P‑8 aircraft, focusing on avionics and electrical systems.
• Effectively troubleshoot and resolve difficult, intermittent, chronic-captioned, or complex system problems using operational protocols throughout the P‑8 lifecycle.
• Work independently to support the US Navy customer with mission system fault diagnostics and resolution for in‑service P‑8 fleet.
• Augment standard troubleshooting, repair technologies with innovative approaches.
• Document troubleshooting and repair solutions and supporting data in both Boeing internal and US Navy customer computing systems.
• Lead enhancements and revisions to P‑8 fleet command media and operational procedures, driving engineering disposition efficiencies and mitigating recurrent issues.archive.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and represent P‑8 fleet priorities at internal Boeing meetings.
• Coordinate and communicate with engineering personnel across BGS, BDS, and BCA at all levels.
• Travel to other P‑8 operational base locations may be required.

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (or related field).
• 10+ years of experience in avionics/electrical systems in the aerospace industry.
• Experience with P‑8 (or similar system) fleet support or aircraft system design.
• Proven experience working in a cross‑functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems, flight operations, and airworthiness requirements.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

• Experience with maritime surveillance systems.
• Experience on P‑8 Increment 3 Block 2 (or similar modification programs).
• Familiarity with technical aspects of the P‑8 aircraft and its mission systems.
• Experience with P‑8 Mission Systems, flight testing support, production support, or fleet support.
• Experience with commercial derivative aircraft (CDA) avionics systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical, electronic, and avionics systems.
• Direct customer support at customer facilities with minimal oversight.
• Experience troubleshooting aircraft systems and analyzing data from onboard recording systems.
• Familiarity with aviation manuals (flight manuals, maintenance manuals, fault isolation manuals, etc.).

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Drug‑free workplace: testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP,powered and alcohol as per policy.
• First shift schedule.
• Union‑represented position (Boeing).
• Job will remain open until January 26 2026.
