Join Boeing as an Equipment & Tool Engineer (Asset Engineering) in Tukwila, WA. In this role you will develop engineering solutions, improve processes, and manage equipment and tool acquisition, repair, and maintenance.
Position Responsibilities- Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements for current and forecasted equipment and tool purchasing
- Coordinates with multiple business partners and outside vendors for support and management of current and future equipment purchase, repair and maintenance
- Assists with equipment repair troubleshooting
- Writes maintenance instructions per manufacturer guidelines
- Develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System
- Ensures compliance with safety, production, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements
- Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares
- Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel
- Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation
- Supports studies for disposition of assets
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a similar engineering discipline
- 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master +3 years)
- Experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Experience supporting production equipment in an industrial environment
- Position is 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA
- Must obtain U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person)
- Expected shift: 1st shift; union‑represented position
Summary pay range: $111,350 – $150,650. Boeing offers competitive base pay, variable compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, paid and unpaid time off, and more.
