Pauley Construction is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Driver. Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL) is required. The Warehouse Driver position involves safely transporting materials, tools, and equipment between a variety of warehouse locations and job sites, assists with maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse operation and inventory system when not driving to/from job sites or vendor pick up locations.

The position requires a proven and consistent record of safe driving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well with staff, vendors, and service providers at all levels in a fast‑paced environment to ensure accurate and timely job product deliveries. This position reports directly to our Director Inventory Management who reports to VP Subsidiary.

What You’ll Do
  • Safely Transports equipment / Material to various destinations.
  • Responsible for loading, unloading, and securing all cargo.
  • Responsible to make sure all loads are properly secured per DOT and company regulations
  • Make sure, when necessary, all necessary permits are obtained before transporting
  • The Driver shall always follow all safety rules.
  • Follow DOT Regulations and keep all required paperwork handy at all times.
  • The Driver shall maintain hours of service log
  • The Driver shall not engage in unsafe acts.
  • The Driver is expected to attend and participate in all safety meetings and training.
  • The Driver shall use all prescribed safety equipment that is required to safely do the job at hand.
  • The Driver shall report unsafe acts or conditions to his or her immediate Supervisor or Safety Personnel.
  • The Driver shall report any and all injuries, accidents and/or incidents immediately to their immediate Supervisor.
  • Receive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment
  • Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received
  • Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects
  • Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipment
  • Stock shelves in the warehouse
  • Pull spools/materials and distribute them to their designated area
  • Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements
  • Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices
  • Provide accurate reporting on receipt of materials and distribution of purchased items
  • Travel to other markets may be required for delivery/pick up of materials
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of vehicle.

What You’ll Need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Must have a CDL Class “A” driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum two (2) years of previous experience or training.
  • Must have experience within the warehousing/inventory industry (preferred)
  • Must have Forklift experience (preferred)
Additional Qualifications
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle, hold and maintain a CDL Class “A” driver’s license and clean driving record (no DUIs or serious traffic violations.)
  • Must have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner
  • Must have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Must have basic computer and mathematical skills (required)
  • Must have heavy equipment operation experience (mini excavator, digger derrick, directional drill)
  • Knowledge and understanding of “safety systems” associated with equipment operation including set‑up and emergency procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of loading, unloading, securing and transport procedures for equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the proper care of equipment including hours of service requirements.
