CDL Drivers must hold a valid CDL driver license. CDL Drivers work as part of a crew and at times may also operate equipment or provide general labor. CDL Drivers with experience in any of the following is preferred:
Crack Seal, Sealcoat, Chip Seal, Slurry Seal, Striping.

• Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, screeds, rollers, pavers, paving finishing machines, paving curbing machines and front end loaders to apply asphalt products according to job specifications.
• Understand and comply with all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). state/local regulations.
• Ensure vehicle is road-worthy prior to leaving the yard and work with mechanics to address repairs as needed.
• Inspect truck and trailer before and after trips; complete DVIRs to ensure compliance with laws.
• Log driving hours as required by state, federal, and local laws using the Company's methods.
• Actively participate in job-site and safety meetings and Company training.
• Communicate effectively with the paver operator, truck drivers, and general laborers.
• May operate trucks to transport equipment to/from production sites and assist in equipment maintenance.
• Inspect, clean and maintain equipment and machinery; set up and tear down equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean job site; secure tools and equipment daily.
• Serve as a front-line company representative and provide excellent service to customers and the public.
• Use rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other hand tools as needed.
• Perform all other general labor duties as assigned; duties may change with or without notice.

• Work at professional construction sites with the ability to communicate on-site; read printed materials; lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects up to 50 pounds; climb stairs/ladders; and maneuver around construction sites safely.
• Work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, and tools within safety guidelines.
• Exposed to outdoor work in all weather conditions; may be in extreme heat or cold.
• Exposure to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, dust, noise, moving vehicles, and other hazards as applicable.

This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Ability to travel to various job sites is required.

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Six months to one year related experience is preferred.
• Must meet FMCSA English proficiency requirements under 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2), including the ability to read and speak English, understand highway signs, respond to official inquiries, and make required entries on reports and records. All 10K-CMV and CDL drivers will complete and pass an English proficiency assessment.

• A current Class A CDL license in the state where the majority of work is performed is required.
• Hazmat or tanker endorsement may be required depending on position/department/division.
• Must pass DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.
• Must pass a DOT drug test and a safety road test.
• Must have a clean motor-vehicle record.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
