San Miguel Corporate Work Study Transportation Driver

As a member of the San Miguel Corporate Work Study Program (SMCWSP) Transportation Team, the CWSP Driver contributes to the overall effectiveness of the work-study program by ensuring that our student workers are transported to and from their worksites safely and efficiently. The CWSP Driver reports to and is supervised by the CWSP Transportation Manager.

• Drive student workers to and from their respective worksites on a daily basis.
• Communicate with CWSP coordinators to effectively manage attendance and basic student information as it relates to school and CWSP corporate partners.
• Attend all scheduled Transportation team meetings and professional development.
• Perform routine vehicle safety inspections, regularly clean and maintain vehicles.

• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Must have at least two years driving experience.
• Must have a high school diploma or earned a GED.
• Must have the ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must have the ability to drive/operate the type of vehicle or other equipment utilized in performing work.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license qualifying the applicant for operating the intended vehicle(s) (this includes the proper CDL endorsements, if necessary).
• Must have an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a background check and routine MVD checks.
• Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance.
• Must be able to pass the Tucson Diocese Fingerprint Background Clearance and Training Modules.
• Requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental / visual ability, ability to lift as required.

• Advance the objectives of the Corporate Work Study Program.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with the students and CWSP staff.
• Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, talking, handling, hearing, and carrying.
• Coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability, ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as required.
