Delivery Helper

Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading appliances and mattresses to customers in a careful, efficient, and safe manner. Transport, sort, and stock materials.

• Loads vehicle for delivery.
• Delivers goods to customers safely, mindful of the customers' home and existing appliances.
• Interacts with the customer in a professional manner.
• Collects required signatures, payments, proof of delivery, and gives a receipt to customer.
• Notates serial numbers on invoices in legible handwriting.
• Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
• Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle.
• Maintains a neat and clean personal appearance due to customer interaction.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. No CDL required.
• No prior experience necessary, will provide training.
• Familiarity with delivery and handling method practices preferred.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Forklift - trained and certified by OSHA and company standards (must attend mandatory company training).
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit regularly, and utilize hand dexterity, climb, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl as job requires.
• Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions (heat and cold) frequently.
• Must be able to hear, see, communicate, and utilize the necessary equipment to complete the job in a timely manner.
