Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Service Plumber to join our growing service department. This role focuses on diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and customer-facing service work in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently in the field.

Job Title: Service Plumber

Department: Service & Repair

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Service Department Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing systems including water, waste, vent, and gas systems
  • Service and replace water heaters (tank and tankless)
  • Troubleshoot fixtures, valves, piping systems, and drainage issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive service work
  • Accurately document service calls, materials used, and labor hours
  • Provide clear communication and professional service to customers
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards
Qualifications
  • Journeyman or equivalent plumbing experience preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of service plumbing experience
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with residential and light commercial service work
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily service schedules
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces as required
Preferred Skills
  • Backflow certification (if applicable)
  • Gas line installation and repair experience
  • Experience with service management software
  • Cross-connection knowledge
