Overview
Laborer Telecom Aerial III role on the Aerial Crew to help connect America. Performs duties related to installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable and ensures scope of work meets customer standards.
What You’ll Do- Be the ground hand for technicians, provide parts as needed, and move bucket truck as directed by a technician.
- Ensure door-tagging and resident notification of construction activities are completed prior to starting each workday.
- Conduct daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment; if appropriately licensed, drive company vehicles to job sites as needed.
- Provide intermediate-level support with greater responsibility, troubleshooting, and operational tasks under general supervision and in accordance with standard policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States
- High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience
- CDL (Class
A) license - Ability to pass a background check and company drug screening
- Ability to attend and pass all required training
- May require overtime; after hours; weekends or on-call as needed to complete work
- May include nights and holidays as needed
- May require travel in-state or overnight as necessary
- Regular and timely attendance is essential
- Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber
- Knowledge of installation of aerial and underground cables and related components in conformance with applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications (NEC, city specifications)
- Proficient in troubleshooting and handling more complex tasks under supervision
- 3 years of work-related experience in utility construction, telecommunications or laborer-related work
- Proven leadership experience to direct workflow and produce high-quality results
- Any combination of education and experience demonstrating ability to perform the duties
- Reasoning:
Ability to understand and carry out instructions. Ability to handle problems involving multiple variables across different situations - Mathematical:
Ability to calculate figures, measurements, proportions, percentages, and area; apply basic math concepts - Language:
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals, write reports, and communicate with customers and coworkers

- Stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms to spaces both high and low; stand, walk, climb, balance, crawl, crouch, lift, and stoop during shift
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
- Exposure to outside weather conditions (extreme heat/cold, rain, snow, sleet, dust) and adverse driving conditions
- Potential exposure to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens
- Exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals and moving machinery parts
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustments

Pay Range: The hourly wage range is $21.00 - $26.00, depending on experience.
