Base Salary Range
$23.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Position OverviewWalmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you possess relevant experience in this field, we invite you to bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming work environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
- Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and able to pass an MVR report.
- Minimum 18 years of age with a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 4 years of experience or completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program; mechanical license in the state where the job is located.
